"Is that what my hair looks like from the back?" - OGX Test and Review

BEFORE//AFTER

After hearing good things about OGX shampoo and conditioner i decided to try it out.

It took me a while to choose which 'flavour' (i don't know if this is the right word for shampoo/conditioner) as there where so many but after reading every description i decided on 'Hydration Macadamia Oil' in both conditioner and shampoo. Because of my hair type the thing i was most bothered about was the conditioner, i HAVE to leave conditioner on my hair so that my hair dries in curls and it massively reduces frizz. The upside to this is that my hair is in very good condition.

The usual products i use on my hair are the Argan Oil shampoo and conditioners (used in the before pic) and holds my curls very well and holds the frizz for a good while! If the weather is nice it lasts up to two days but if its windy then maybe the frizz stays away for the majority of the day.

The OGX in this flavour, Macadamia Oil, made my hair so much softer and slightly more shinier but unfortunately it didn't hold my curls. The conditioner is not strong enough for my hair, it made my hair dry frizzy and pulled my curls out. It lasted about an hour or two when outside then i would have to tie my hair up. For me, this conditioner is a no go. Especially in humidity.

In my opinion this OGX is for people with straight hair. I am not giving up on OGX products, i will definitely be purchasing another and trying it out. I'm not giving up until i find 'the one' for my hair.

Too Close to Home - Aoife Walsh

Helloooo... Im back with another book review for you all.

I finished too close to home within a few days. At first it was a tiny struggle to get into and it was confusing as there was so many characters introduced only buy name and not by relationships of other characters as well. Even though there was a guide/diagram at the front of the book it still left me confused but as i continued reading i quickly remembered all of the characters and i was more interested in the book.
The chapters were very long and it was hard to find a place to stop when i wanted to so i was often stopping in the middle of pages.

But apart from this i enjoyed it a lot, the story was good and it is definitely what some people could relate to in some ways. I loved the character Aisling, i wanted to read about her more and i feel like i could read a full book about her, i have never read a book that had a character on the autistic spectrum. She was very cute and a lot of the time some of the events that happen to her in the book made me feel sorry for her.

If you live in a house with a lot of siblings you will maybe understand how Minny feels!! If you are going to read this book and struggle to get into it like i did... keep reading it is really worth it!

To keep up with what books I'm reading, what I'm going to read and what i have read then go to my TUMBLR!

Too Faced and Stila Bargains!

I absolutely love sales/discounts and knowing i paid less than i should have on an item and thats why i love T.K Maxx. Especially today.

I always go in to the shop to see if i can find any bargains and today i did! I got unbelievably excited when i seen Too Faced and Stila on the shelves, so i grabbed a basket and started filling it up.
Heres what i bought.

Stila
 Perfecting concealer (shade d) - RRP £15 i paid £2.99!
All over shimmer liquid luminizer (pink shimmer) - RRP £18 i paid £2.99!
Sparkle waterproof liquid eye liner (sequins) - RRP £14 i paid £2.99!
Eye shadow (pigalle) - RRP £12 i paid £2.99!
Eye shadow trio (gilded) - RRP £16 i paid £3.99!

Too Faced
Amazing Face Oil Free Liquid Foundation (warm cocoa) - RRP £26.63 i paid £7.99!
Air Buffed BB Creme (nude glow) - RRP £28.54 i paid £7.99!

All together i should have paid a total of £130.17 but at the discounted prices i only paid £31.93

I SAVED £98.24
I am so so happy with that.
I admit i didn't need all of these products but i couldn't leave them in the shop so i'll find a use for them.

Quick Review...

Concealer
Thick but spreads/blends easily, good coverage but i won't be using this without other concealers to back me up.

Eyeshadows
Such good pigmentation! The trio colours blend well. The colours go perfect together. The red/pigalle eye shadow was exactly what i was looking for, i have been wanting a dark red eyeshadow for sometime and this one is possibly my new favourite.

Shimmer
liquid is thick and easy to apply. I'll be using this as a highlighter for my cheekbones. I prefer white highlighters but this gives my face more warmth.

Eyeliner
I didn't think twice when i picked this product up. Its black, glitter, liquid eyeliner, i love glitter and black is what i wear most. I thought i would struggle putting it on but it was really easy, i advise you to minimise the amount of liquid on the brush before applying.

BB Creme
Comes with a brush, such an easy application and really good coverage. I've wanted a bb creme for a while but never bothered to purchase one so as soon as i seen this i bought it.

Foundation
The was one foundation left and it was far too dark to wear all over my face but i wanted it. So i bought it, I'm going to be using this to contour. Im really impressed with the foundation, i didn't expect it to be so good, it is thin but has amazing coverage, I'm thinking about buying it in my shade for everyday use.

I literally felt like i was stealing the items because of the low prices, the employees then thought i was actually stealing when the alarms went off when i was leaving and had to get escorted back to the till then back out of the store!

Im impressed with every item, i 100% got my moneys worth. Not one product that I'm disappointed with. Im going back to T.K Maxx for beauty blenders and i'll continue to keep my eyes open for more good bargains.

My Daily Eye Care Routine

For as long as i can remember now i have been using these two Garnier products under my eyes religiously, every day.

The first one i use is the green one which is an under eye roll on which gets rid of bags and dark circles. It works but it's a product that you have to use for a week or two to see results. When applying it, it is wet but so cool and fresh, its actually a really nice feeling to wake up your eyes on a morning.
After this product has dried, i apply the next which is a BB cream and i never go anyway without wearing it. it is part of my make up routine when I'm going anywhere! I use it as a concealer and its great i really recommend it to anyone who wants to conceal under their eyes. All you have to do is roll it on and blend it in.

I recommended it to a friend after she asked what i used and she loved it.

Garnier, you did good.

Recommended Books

Every month i will be sharing the books that i have read with you all and basically telling you if they're worth reading or not. As i have only just started my blog ill give you 5 books iv enjoyed reading the most.

The Art of Being Normal by Lisa Williamson is a must it was one of those books that you can't put down but when you eventually do, you pick it back up. Im not going to give anything away but if you support transgender then yes, read this book.

Rules of Summer and Since Last Summer by Joanna Philbin. I read the first book (Rules of Summer) a while back and waited and waited for the follow on to be released and i read it straight away. The thing that annoyed me was the huge difference in size to the first book and it also only came in hardback! I need everything matching so I'm gutted about that. I was hooked on the second as i was the first. The books made me want to be living their life, in a beach house in america drenched with sun everyday. But living where i do, i am very far from that.

Don't Even Think About It and Ten Things We Shouldn't Have Done by Sarah Mlynowski. Very very good. I love the way both of these books are wrote and i also love the covers. Ten Things is addictive and is definitely what most teens would want their life to be similar to. Don't Even Think About it is different to the typical books about love. Its fun and if you wish you could read someones mind then go buy this book. There is currently a follow on book to this and it is coming soon and i can't wait!!

If anyone has any questions then please ask!

Esk

I'v been so eager to make my first post and i had a perfect day with my boyfriend so i decided to share a few photos. We went boating in a village in Esk which is close to Whitby, we were not great at it but we managed, the mass amount of sweets my boyfriend bought me to eat whilst we were in the boat were all my favourites and just made it all so good.
Apart from being embarrassed when old people were over taking us, the day was one to be remembered.
