Too Close to Home - Aoife Walsh

Helloooo... Im back with another book review for you all.

I finished too close to home within a few days. At first it was a tiny struggle to get into and it was confusing as there was so many characters introduced only buy name and not by relationships of other characters as well. Even though there was a guide/diagram at the front of the book it still left me confused but as i continued reading i quickly remembered all of the characters and i was more interested in the book.
The chapters were very long and it was hard to find a place to stop when i wanted to so i was often stopping in the middle of pages.

But apart from this i enjoyed it a lot, the story was good and it is definitely what some people could relate to in some ways. I loved the character Aisling, i wanted to read about her more and i feel like i could read a full book about her, i have never read a book that had a character on the autistic spectrum. She was very cute and a lot of the time some of the events that happen to her in the book made me feel sorry for her.

If you live in a house with a lot of siblings you will maybe understand how Minny feels!! If you are going to read this book and struggle to get into it like i did... keep reading it is really worth it!

To keep up with what books I'm reading, what I'm going to read and what i have read then go to my TUMBLR!

  1. Even though this was quite confusing it definitely sounds interesting - tempted to give it a read. If you're interested in reading another book that revolves around an autistic character, you should check out The Curious Incident Of The Dog At Nighttime, it's very good!
